How long can a customer see where a technician is?
Customers will only be able to see a technician's location if:
The appointment hasn't been marked completed
The appointment is scheduled for the same day
Otherwise the link will show a message of the reason why they are unable to view a technician's location.
Can I disable the technician icons on the map?
Yes, when on the Dispatcher map (under the Map tab of the Schedule screen) you can expand the filter and select "Hide Tech Locations."
When are technicians' locations tracked?
Location information is recorded when a Technician has the android app open, and only during working hours.
Why am I not seeing location information for some users?
It's possible that they either haven't updated to the latest version of the app, or haven't granted it permission to use location data. You can see which users have specifically rejected granting location permissions by using the Technician Location Permission report.
Can I change the wording on the link sent to customers?
Yes! On the account settings page there is an option for adding additional text to display alongside the technician's picture.
