An explanation of the Account Types that accounts can be set to

When creating an account, the type is a very important field to set. There are multiple types that can be selected and this article has the definitions of each explained.

Insurance - This account type is for Insurance companies, who are being billed for the job. i.e. State Farm, Allstate, or Progressive

Insurance/Claims office - This account type is for the claim office of the insurance company, typically used as a Referrer

Insurance/Agency - This account type is used for Insurance agents who are referring work to your company.

Commercial/Fleet - This account type is for customers who have a fleet of vehicles, like moving companies or local companies with multiple vehicles.

Commercial/Body shop - This account type is for a body shop that is having you perform work on vehicles they have brought in and they're paying for the work.

Commercial/Rental - This account type is for rental car companies. i.e Enterprise

Commerical/Dealerhip - This account type is for dealerships that are having you perform work on their vehicles.

Commercial/Government - This account type is for Government entities. i.e. Police stations, government offices, School Districts

Commercial/Wholesale - This account type is for wholesale companies that you would be doing work for.

Commercial/Other - This account type is for accounts that don't meet the above types categories.

Individual Pay (COD) - This account type is for customers who pay for the work out of pocket. Typically used as a general "Cash Customer" account but can be made for individual repeat customers

Vendor* - This account type is for custom vendors that Omega does not have a direct integration with that you can choose as an option when creating a Purchase order. i.e. a Dealership you order glass from.

Corporate/Non-Billable* - This account type is for customers who are Corporations in charge of larger accounts. Normally they are set as a Parent account and not billed for the individual jobs

Lead* - This account type is used by account managers for potential new accounts that can be setup.

*These accounts are not able to be selected inside of a job.
