We're excited to announce the launch of Omega's Technician Tracker! If technicians have granted location permission, you will be able to view their real-time locations, and let customers know as well!
To view technician locations for today's jobs, navigate to the Maps tab of the schedule page. On the map you will now see icons in the color of the technician, showing their most recently reported location, and if applicable, speed and direction. You can also hide the technician locations by expanding the filters and selecting the toggle.
For sending a link to the customer you'll want to enable the new technician tracker template (it is disabled by default).
If you would like this to send when a technician clicks "Navigate" to an appointment, keep the Automated Trigger as it is. Otherwise, remove the trigger (select "Select trigger...") to only allow manually sending the link to customers.
You can also include custom subtext to be displayed with the link sent to customers. To do so, go to Admin -> Account Settings, and select the Tech Tracker tab.

The link will take a customer to a map where they can see the last location of their technician, an estimate of their arrival time, the option to pay any outstanding balance for the job, as well as contact information for the technician.
