This article will go over the steps of how to create a payment within Omega.

To start, navigate to the jobs page. Here you will see a list of your jobs. To make a payment from here, click the pay bubble.

Navigate To Jobs Page

Click the PAY button to proceed to the payment creation screen within Omega.

Click Pay Button

This will load the payment screen where you can select the payment method, payor, amount due, and reference. As you can see here we have some test methods.

Select Payment Method

For creating a payment, you will be required to enter the name of the payer, the amount, and initials for cash payments; the check number for checks; and card details for card payments. You can adjust the payment amount by typing the amount you want to take.

Enter Payment Details

Select the payment option from the list to specify the payment method you want to use.

Select Payment Option

For card payments, you will have several fields to enter in. The Name, Billing Address, Card number, Expiration Date, and CVV code are all required. Here we have entered in some test information, and the card number has populated an error. This is due to the card not being a valid format.

Enter Card Payment Billing Info

For a card payment taken externally of Omega, you will need to check the External Payment option. This will remove the card information and populate the reference field for a reference number. This will NOT charge the customer's card.

Process External Payment

Clicking the submit button will apply the payment to the job. The pay bubble will go from gray to blue.

Submit Payment Confirmation

You can also take a payment by going into the job, scrolling to the payment section, and clicking the create payment button. This opens up the same payment window that you can use to create the payment on the job.
