Before proceeding, ensure the AI tools setup in Omega has been completed by following the instructions in the <a href="https://help.omegaedi.com/en/articles/16822195-how-to-enable-ai-tools">How to enable AI tools</a> article.

To connect ChatGPT to this MCP server, log in to ChatGPT and click Settings. Under Security and login, enable Developer mode if it is not already enabled.

Once Developer mode has been enabled, click Plugins and add a new plugin by clicking the + symbol as shown below.

Fill in the connection details as shown below.

Enter the OAuth Client ID and Client Secret as shown within Omega during AI tool creation, agree to the terms and conditions, and add the custom plugin.

Once saved, a prompt to Sign in with the Omega MCP will appear — click the button to complete authentication for ChatGPT.

Once the MCP has been added, the plugin flow can be accessed from a new chat in ChatGPT.

ChatGPT and Codex share the same ecosystem, so adding the MCP server in ChatGPT makes it accessible within the Codex desktop application as well.
