This article will give you the step by step instructions with accompanying screenshots on how to create a job within Omega. This will show you the process from the Quote Page as well as the New job page. The Process is very similar with only a few deviations between a Cash customer and an Insurance Job.

1. Start by entering in the VIN number of the Vehicle you are wanting to look up on the Quote Page.

2. Hit the Search button

3. Click the plus button next to the part that is matched for the vehicle (The Highlighted Part being the match with the NAGS database)

4. Hit the Quote button

5. Enter in the zip code you will be servicing this vehicle at

6. Click the Create Job button

7. In the New job page, scroll to the Account field in the Billing and Pricing Section

8. Enter in the Account that will be paying for the job, by typing in the name of the Account in the account field

  1. For customers paying out of pocket, you would use your Cash customer account

  2. For an insurance job, you’ll want to select the Insurance company that will be paying.

  3. For Dealerships/Body Shops, you’ll want to select the account you’ve created for them.

9. Enter in the Customer Information

  1. Ensure that all fields are filled in correctly to enable easy look up of the job if needed in the future

  2. If an insurance job is being done, be sure to enter in the Insurance information under the Customer information to prevent issues with the insurance company as seen in the screenshot below

  3. If you have the SMS text messaging enabled, be sure to confirm with the customer that they opt into that.

  4. If they choose not to opt into this, click off the box next to the SMS option as circled in the screenshot below

10. Scroll to the Invoice items and ensure that proper items are selected. Add any additional items to the line items by the Add Item Button or the NAGS look up button.

11. Scroll to the Appointment information and click the Blue Circle.

  1. To select the date, click the line highlighted below

  2. Confirm the Service address is correct with your customer

  3. Ensure the proper Appointment Type is entered

  4. Flat Glass, Recalibrations, In Shop and Mobile are selected here

  5. Select your technician in the technician box

12. Once information is completed click the Save Job button

13. Once job is ready to invoice, you can invoice in one of the two ways below

  1. You can go into the job and select the Save and Invoice Button

  2. You can click the box on the left of the job on the jobs page and then the invoice button that appears at the top of the Jobs page
