If you do not already have a Federal Tax ID # (AKA Employer Identification Number)—please Google search “federal tax id number” and click the link that takes you to IRS.gov. From there, you will be prompted in the rest of the process with the IRS EIN request application.
If you have already completed the application but have lost your Federal Tax ID, refer to the original confirmation number, past business tax returns, bank account opening documents, or old W-9 Forms you have done in the past. If you cannot find this documentation, please reach out to the IRS.
